Franklin Avenue is a north/south route in Hempstead and Garden City. It exists as an unnumbered county route south of Front Street (NY 102/CR 106) in Hempstead. At Front Street, it becomes CR 5A and runs north through Hempstead to Garden City. It passes through the main business district in Garden City. At Old Country Road (CR 25), it ends and becomes Mineola Boulevard, an unnumbered county route. Please note that this road has no connection to Franklin Avenue in Franklin Square or to Franklin Avenue in Valley Stream, even though it has the same name as these two roads.
