Cross Island Parkway

Direction: North/South
Southern Terminus: Belt Parkway and Southern Parkway
Northern Terminus: Whitestone Bridge (I-678) and Whitestone Expressway (I-678)

The Cross Island Parkway crosses Long Island at the Queens-Nassau border. At the western terminus of the Southern Parkway, the Belt Parkway becomes the Cross Island Parkway. It runs to the north. North of Northern Boulevard (NY 25A), it curves to the west. It ends at the Whitestone Expressway (I-678) and the Whitestone Bridge (I-678). It provides access to Belmont Racetrack, the Throgs Neck Bridge (I-295) and the Whitestone Bridge (I-678). The exit numbering scheme on the Cross Island Parkway is a continuation of the exit numbering scheme on the Belt Parkway.
