NY 25A 21 Street, Jackson Avenue, Northern Boulevard, Harbor Road, Main Street, Fort Salonga Road, Saint Johnland Road, North Country Road, Hulse Avenue, Parker Road

Northern Boulevard runs east through Jackson Heights. There are oversized street name signs at the intersections with 82 Street, Junction Boulevard, 108 Street, and 114 Street. Turn right onto 114 Street to access the Grand Central Parkway east.

Northern Boulevard becomes a limited-access highway in the vicinity of Shea Stadium. There is a left exit for the Van Wyck Expressway (I-678).

Northern Boulevard passes through Flushing and Auburndale. There are oversized street name signs at Main Street, Union Street, Parsons Boulevard, Utopia Parkway, and Francis Lewis Boulevard.

In Roslyn, Northern Boulevard becomes a divided road. It goes over the Roslyn Viaduct, a bridge that crosses Hempstead Harbor, West Shore Road (CR 15), and Bryant Avenue. At the end of the viaduct, there is an exit for Bryant Avenue and Old Northern Boulevard. The viaduct is currently being reconstructed. It previously had four lanes, but now only three lanes are available. Temporary traffic lights indicate which lane or lanes should be used when travelling in a particular direction.

Northern Boulevard continues east into the Town of Oyster Bay. The speed limit goes up to 55 MPH at the town line. There are many places in Suffolk where one can go 55 MPH on a non-limited-access road. This is one of the few places in Nassau where it is permissable to do so.

Northern Boulevard becomes a divided road. It used to change names here to become North Hempstead Turnpike, but, over the last few years, all of the North Hempstead Turnpike street signs were replaced with new signs that say Northern Boulevard.

NY 25A runs through Cold Spring Harbor. At the NY 108 split, it changes names to become Harbor Road. Shortly thereafter, it changes names again to become Main Street.
