Direction: North/South Southern Terminus: Connecticut Turnpike (I-95/US 1) in Old Saybrook Northern Terminus: Yankee Expressway (I-84) in West Hartford CT 9 is an expressway in southeastern Connecticut. It provides a connection between the Hartford area and the eastern section of the Connecticut shore. It begins at the Connecticut Turnpike (I-95/US 1) in Old Saybrook and runs to the northwest, along the west side of the Connecticut River. In Cromwell, it intersects I-91.
