Capital Beltway, John F. Kennedy Memorial Highway Direction: North/South Southern Terminus: Virginia-Maryland border Northern Terminus: Maryland-Delaware border I-95 is a main interstate that runs along the east coast from Florida to Maine. It enters Maryland from Virginia multiplexed with the Capital Beltway (I-495), a circular highway around Washington, DC. North of Washington, I-95 splits off from I-495 and runs northeast to Baltimore. North of Baltimore, it is called the John F. Kennedy Memorial Highway, in honor of the former president.
