Queensboro Bridge
Eastbound Upper Roadway Views
The Queensboro Bridge, also known as the 59 Street Bridge, crosses the East River from Manhattan to Queens.

At the end of the bridge, the roadway split. Bear left for Queens Boulevard (NY 25) and Jackson Avenue. Bear right for Northern Boulevard (NY 25A), 21 Street, and Roosevelt Island. Jackson Avenue is part of NY 25A also, but its route number is not posted, presumably because NY 25A ends just west of here and motorists wishing to go east on it should be using Northern Boulevard. Notice that there are signs over the westbound lanes facing in this direction. This is because the lanes are reversible. The upper level of the bridge can be made one-way to alleviate traffic at rush hour.
